Dulce hogar

INSPIRACIÓN

“Hogar, dulce hogar” suele decirse cuando surge en nosotros el sentimiento de estar regresando a ese lugar tan especial que nos reconforta y carga de energía. Ese lugar en el que podemos comportarnos de manera natural y espontánea, ser nosotros mismos y sentirnos queridos.

La palabra `hogar´ tiene su origen en el vocablo latino focaris, derivado de focus, fuego en español. Y es precisamente en torno al fuego que se crearon y fortalecieron los lazos entre los miembros de una misma familia dando lugar a este espacio donde sentirnos acompañados, seguros y tranquilos. 

Esta obra se inspira en ese sentimiento hogareño que todos hemos sentido alguna vez. Y busca expresar ese sentimiento que es común a todos los hogares, independientemente de su forma, tamaño o detalles que lo hacen único e irrepetible, como las personas que lo habitan.

Es por eso mismo, que las casas han sido realizadas de forma hueca, para poder introducir en ellas iluminación, representando así el antiguo fuego y evocar la vida que sucede en su interior.

En cuanto a la forma y apariencia de las casitas, Fabi se ha inspirado en el pueblo en el que paso su infancia y del que guarda un recuerdo entrañable.

OBRA

Esta obra sigue la línea de la técnica cerámica polimerica. Especialmente en cuanto al tratamiento de las superficies, las cuales adquieren un aspecto craquealado. 

Se trata de una técnica de mixed media que utiliza como material principal la arcilla polimerica.

En total son 10 casitas. Una de ellas es una metáfora de la `familia´ al esconder en su interior otras tres casitas diminutas.

Además, presenta también tres cuadros hechos a mano con una forma asimétrica que sirve como recurso para colocar las casitas a nuestro gusto, de manera intercambiable.

Por último, siguiendo con la estética de esta misma técnica, otra posible aplicación, esta vez en una caja de té, con el detalle del abridor en forma de casita.

HOME, SWEET HOME

INSPIRATION

"Home, sweet home" is often said when the feeling of returning to that special place arises in us that comforts us and fills us with energy. That place where we can behave naturally and spontaneously, be ourselves and feel loved.

The word `home´ has its origin in the Latin word focaris, derived from focus, fire in Spanish. And it is precisely around the fire that the bonds between the members of the same family were created and strengthened, giving rise to this space where we feel accompanied, safe and calm. 

This work is inspired by that home feeling that we’ve all felt at one time or another. And it seeks to express that feeling that is common to all households, regardless of their shape, size or details that make it unique and unrepeatable, like the people who inhabit it.

It is for this very reason that the houses have been made hollow, to be able to introduce lighting into them, thus representing the old fire and evoking the life that happens inside.

As for the shape and appearance of the houses, Fabi has been inspired by the village in which she spent his childhood and of which she has a fond memory.

ARTWORK

This work follows the line of ceramic polymer technique. Especially in the treatment of surfaces, which acquire a cracked appearance. 

This is a mixed media technique that uses polymeric clay as the main material.

In total there are 10 houses. One of them is a metaphor for `family´ by hiding inside three other tiny houses.

In addition, it also presents three wooden canvases with an asymmetrical shape that serves as a resource to place the houses to our liking, in an interchangeable way.

Finally, continuing with the aesthetics of this same technique, another possible application, this time in a tea woodbox, with the detail of the handler in the form of a house.
