Acordeón entretejido mágico (II)

 Another example of the mixed media technique know as  “Woven Accordion”

Two handmade bindings made from scratch. The covers and inside is composed of a single folded paper also painted with mixed media techniques inspired in two different motifs, one “The city” and the other “The Sea”. Due to this particular technique depending how you open the little book the design changes. The handlers are made of polymer clay (the moon & the fish)

This will be taught in September at my studio in Madrid

Otro ejemplo de la técnica mixta conocida como «Acordeón entretejido»

Dos encuadernaciones hechas a mano desde cero. Las tapas y el interior están compuestos por un único papel plegado también pintado con técnicas mixtas inspiradas en dos motivos diferentes, uno «La ciudad» y el otro «El mar». Debido a esta particular técnica dependiendo de como abras el librito el diseño cambia. Los tiradores están hechos de arcilla polimérica (la luna y el pez).

Se impartirá en septiembre en mi estudio de Madrid.

Polymer clay cours, Chatenois (France)

   Art knows no borders!

Last weekend I was in Chatenois (France) teaching a polymer clay course.

It was a great experience in which we shared moments of learning, work and creativity.

I want to thank all the attendees for their great welcome and kindness. Also to the lovely Virginie who acted as a sign language translator and made this meeting more accessible.

Last but not least, I would like to thank the organizer Marie-Claude for her work and hospitality. As well as her husband Juan Pedro, both welcomed both me and my husband and made our experience more pleasant if possible 😊.

¡El arte no conoce fronteras!

El pasado fin de semana estuve en Chatenois (Francia) impartiendo un curso de arcilla polimérica.

Fue una experiencia estupenda en la que compartimos momentos de aprendizaje, trabajo y creatividad.

Quiero dar las gracias a todos los asistentes por su gran acogida y amabilidad. También a la encantadora Virginie que hizo de traductora en lenguaje de signos e hizo más accesible este encuentro.

Por último, pero no menos importante, agradecer a la organizadora Marie-Claude por su trabajo y hospitalidad. Así como a su marido Juan Pedro, ambos nos acogieron tanto a mí como a mi marido e hicieron nuestra experiencia más agradable si cabe 😊

Clases viernes

A wonderful group of hard working and creative women. They are also very funny and we have a great time working every month on different polymer clay and mixed media projects.

I take this opportunity to send a big kiss to all of them and thank them for their trust and love during all these year.

Un grupo maravilloso de mujeres muy trabajadoras y creativas. Además son muy divertidas y lo pasamos genial trabajando cada mes distintos proyectos de arcilla polimérica y mixed media.

Encuadernación bordada

   Today I bring you these bindings made from scratch, with painted and embroidered fabric cover. It is characterized by being inspired by spring floral and natural motifs.

Inside we find colored papers painted with mixed technique and polymer clay retouches.

This notebook serves to get ideas for new polymer clay and mixed media projects that I will teach in classes.

Hoy os traigo esta encuadernación hecha desde cero, con cubierta de tela pintada y bordada. Se caracteriza por estar inspirada en motivos florales y naturales de primavera.

En el interior encontramos papeles de colores pintados con técnica mixta y retoques de arcilla polimérica.

Este cuaderno sirve para obtener ideas para nuevos proyectos de arcilla polimérica y técnica mixta que enseñaré en clases.

Acordeón entretejido mágico (I)

Two handmade bindings made from scratch. The covers are made of painted fabric and sewn together with a pair of polymer clay handles. The inside is composed of a single folded paper also painted with mixed media technique that seems magical as it gives rise to four different designs inspired in nature.

It's a very interesting and fun technique!

This project is intended for classes in my studio in Madrid.

Aquí tenéis un nuevo proyecto de técnica mixta conocido como “Acordeón Entretejido”. 

Dos encuadernaciones hechas a mano partiendo de cero. Las cubiertas son de tela pintada y cosida junto a un par de tiradores de arcilla polimérica. El interior lo compone un único papel plegado también pintado con técnica mixta que parece mágico pues da lugar a cuatro diseños diferentes inspirados en la naturaleza.

¡Es una técnica muy interesante y divertida!

Este proyecto esta destinado para clases en mi estudio en Madrid.
