Madriguera de sueños

 INSPIRACIÓN

La navidad se acerca…Y hoy quiero compartir algo que quizá pueda servir de inspiración para estas fechas

Aunque esta obra no es estrictamente navideña puede perfectamente adaptarse al ambiente de estas fiestas. También puede ser un simple pero original motivo decorativo con el que adornar una habitación o quizás un cuento creativo que en vez de leer a tus hijos decidáis construir juntos

Como siempre, esta obra cargada de símbolos está inspirada en la naturaleza

Esta vez predomina el motivo nocturno, pues normalmente la creatividad, la imaginación y los sueños están ligados a la noche. Para mí personalmente es el momento de mayor inspiración, normalmente soy más productiva y trabajo mejor de noche

El conejo que tranquilamente contempla la luna al lado de su madriguera aparece como un vivo interrogante que se mueve entre dos misterios, el del cielo y el de la tierra; cada uno con luz propia, aunque en realidad son la misma.

¿Por qué un libro?

He elegido este formato porque el libro en sí representa algo parecido a un cofre repleto de tesoros para la imaginación: ideas, viajes, emociones…También puede recordarnos a una madriguera de creatividad donde colarnos o caer y perseguir al mágico conejo blanco que nos guiará hacia nuevas experiencias, aventuras y descubrimientos.

OBRA

Se trata de una técnica muy divertida y llena de posibilidades, especialmente por el uso de la luz, que nos permite jugar con una serie de efectos muy interesantes.

Partiendo de distintos bocetos usando papel y lápiz hasta decidir el motivo y soporte de esta obra de técnica mixta y arcilla polimérica que utiliza como soporte principal un viejo libro al que quité las hojas del interior para más tarde añadir todos los motivos naturales con arcilla translúcida de la marca Cernit. El único accesorio que lleva es uno de metal para realizar el cierre del libro, todo lo demás es arcilla polimérica y el propio soporte del libro. Decidí añadirle luces aprovechando la transparencia de la arcilla Cernit para así jugar con las sombras y siluetas de los personajes. También con la idea de inspirar otras alternativas aprovechando la festividad navideña.

Esta obra estará disponible por el momento para clases presenciales en mi estudio en Madrid y en el futuro también se encontrará disponible online.

INSPIRATION

Christmas is coming... And today I want to share something that might inspire these dates

Although this work is not strictly Christmas it can perfectly adapt to the atmosphere of these festivities. It can also be a simple but original decorative motif with which to decorate a room or perhaps a creative story that instead of reading your children you decide to build together

As always, this work full of symbols is inspired by nature

This time the night motif predominates, because usually creativity, imagination and dreams are linked to the night. For me personally it is the time of greatest inspiration, I am usually more productive and work better at night

The rabbit who quietly contemplates the moon next to his burrow appears as a vivid question that moves between two mysteries, that of heaven and that of the earth; each with their own light, though they are actually the same.

Why a book?

I have chosen this format because the book itself represents something like a chest full of treasures for the imagination: ideas, trips, emotions... It can also remind us of a burrow of creativity where we sneak in or fall and chase the magical white rabbit that will guide us to new experiences, adventures and discoveries.

WORK

It is a very fun technique and full of possibilities, especially by the use of light, which allows us to play with a series of very interesting effects.

Starting from different sketches using paper and pencil until deciding the motif and support of this work of mixed technique and polymer clay that uses as main support an old book to which I removed the pages from the interior and later add all the natural motifs with translucent clay of the Cernit brand. The only accessory is one of metal to perform the closing of the book, everything else is polymer clay and the book's own support. I decided to add lights taking advantage of the transparency of the Cernit clay to play with the shadows and silhouettes of the characters. Also with the idea of inspiring other alternatives taking advantage of the Christmas holiday.

This work will be available for face-to-face classes in my studio in Madrid at the moment and in the future it will also be available online.
